Sara Turner, MSW, LICSW
As a psychotherapist, my mission is to help you achieve your personal definition of wellness and improve your satisfaction with your life. Therapy is relational, and I consider the privilege of partnering with you one of my highest honors in life. My goal is to assist you in living confidently as your true self, to establish healthy relationships with those you love, and to simply have better days.
I strongly believe in the power of relationships, and the life-giving importance of feeling seen and understood. I believe that therapy is an investment in ourselves. I believe therapy is an act of true bravery and courage: it is brave to choose change; it is revolutionary to believe you are worthy and deserving of improving yourself.
My practice is rooted in social justice and I am passionate about providing access to a safe, authentic, and non-judgmental environment. My style is warm and collaborative, providing an interactive blend of humanity and humor. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, therefore, you set the goals and direction of our work together, and together we work on achieving those goals.
I draw from a variety of treatment modalities; striving to always meet you where are you at, providing holistic care, and honoring your unique culture and worldview. I specialize in harm reduction, trauma recovery, and working with physical illness (both chronic and life threatening). However, I love working with all humans and all reasons for folks seeking treatment.
Working together, we can move past whatever barriers or challenges that impact your day to day life, improve challenging mental health symptoms, to gain hope again, and live the life you want.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Washington (60940809) and California (85917). I have worked as a therapist for over 10 years in a wide range of roles and settings, including community and medical settings, which has granted me the privilege of working alongside a wide array of individuals.
