Nicole Iwuoha, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
I am a board certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), and licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in the state of Washington. I earned my Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Washington.
My current practice focuses on adult clients experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. This includes anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder/trauma, bipolar disorders and psychosis. I have worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Washington School of Nursing. This role entailed instructing and supervising undergraduate nursing students in a hospital setting.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a registered nurse in the psychiatric hospital setting providing care to children, adolescents and adults. Additionally, I worked as a mental health evaluator, serving as a consultant to the emergency department.
I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. I appreciate experiencing the diversity and beauty of the Pacific Northwest outdoors. I am also passionate about the cultural experiences that nationwide and international travel offers.
I provide diagnostic assessment, education, medication management and supportive therapy to clients. I operate from a holistic, evidence-based approach. I work collaboratively with clients in addressing their mental health concerns.
