Michael Casey, MS, LMHC
There is a kind of respect that can be difficult to find in everyday life - a deep, unique respect for who you are, where you come from, and the choices that you make. I believe that when people receive this sense of understanding they can anchor themselves and create change in their lives. My approach to therapy is a deep respect for the self - the fundamental person you are. I collaborate with you to bring out the parts of your inner self that have been buried over time.
I work with adults and teens who are dealing with depression, anxiety, sleep issues, grief, loneliness, and figuring out their sense of self. I draw from a variety of therapy methods, including person-centered therapy, internal family systems, and DBT. I find the best way to solve a problem depends on what is the best fit for you.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been working in mental health since 2009. I was raised near San Francisco, CA and moved to Seattle in 2012. In my free time I enjoy walking in nature and in the city, baking, playing board games, and reading while my cat sleeps in my lap.
