She utilizes evidence-based approaches, including psychopharmacological treatment and brief supportive therapy, with an eye towards wellness and treating the person as a whole. Her approach is very patient-centered, as she feels it is necessary to tailor treatment based upon patient goals and individual strengths.
It has never been difficult for me to connect with what makes each person special as well as how we are all more alike than we are different. It is my personal belief we need to move through life with openness and a goal of understanding, because judgement is difficult, if not impossible, when you hold the idea that we all share essentially the same inner life, the human condition. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing mentors during my education and career who have enlightened me in ways I could not have imagined, as well as study healthcare in other countries. I feel these experiences have helped shape who I am as a healthcare provider and made me a more rounded and accepting person.
