Kellyn McCullough, MA, LMFT


I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Western Washington University.  My professional experience encompasses therapy with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples working through a variety of issues including emotion regulation, relationship stressors, difficulty communicating, anxiety, trauma, depression, eating disorders and behavioral issues. I am comfortable providing care to a wide range of individuals from a variety of backgrounds.


I started my career working with children and adolescents in community mental health.  Through this experience, I was able to work with a range of cultural experiences and contextual backgrounds. I’ve held positions as a milieu counselor and subsequently as primary therapist at The Eating Recovery Center of Washington, a treatment facility for people struggling with eating disorders. Eating Disorders are often misunderstood and I am passionate about providing compassionate care to individuals and family members who have struggled with an eating disorder by helping to explore the underlying issues that contributed to negative body image and eating patterns.


My treatment approach embraces authenticity and vulnerability. It is my belief as clinicians we model the values we embrace. I work from a lens of compassion and hope to help my clients reach a place of vulnerability so they may begin the process of risk-taking in order to reach their goals. Change is accomplished through patience and walking alongside my clients in their journey.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is vital in meeting your goals. I tailor my services to fit the need of the individual, couple or family; it is part of my practice to elicit feedback to develop a collaborative working relationship. I integrate other forms of therapy as required, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviors therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and art therapy. 

At times, therapy can bring up difficult emotions and be painful as we explore your history and current choices, thoughts or beliefs that are limiting personal growth and attainment. I see my role as helping you identify old thoughts and behaviors that are no longer helpful to you to move towards a place of reflection and self-compassion. My goal is to support you on your journey and help you explore ways to make changes in your life that leads to fulfillment. I look forward to joining you on your journey.
