Jessica England, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and my Master of Nursing degree from Montana State University, with a specialty in family psychiatric nursing. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I work with individuals to achieve optimal mental health through collaborative, supportive, holistic care. I provide psychiatric diagnostic evaluation, medication management, health education and counseling to adults, children and adolescents.
I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults in community mental health outpatient settings, private practice, primary care and inpatient psychiatric units. I have worked with people from all backgrounds, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation.
In conjunction with my role in private practice, I provide psychiatric services to North Sound Evaluation and Treatment Center, an inpatient psychiatric unit. Additionally, I am pursuing a Doctor of Behavioral Health at Arizona State University. It is important to me to stay up to date on evidence based practice and trends in psychiatry.
I believe that the most important factor when working with an individual is to build a solid therapeutic relationship. I use the first few sessions to get to know the individual and create a lasting bond to work toward positive change. Psychiatric medications combined with counseling, education and lifestyle changes can lead to positive outcomes in mental health. I work with the individual to develop a treatment plan that is realistic and focuses on improvements they want to make to benefit their life. I have a calm, empathic, non-judgmental approach.
