Jennifer Palmer, MA, LMHC
Hello! I bring over 20 years of experience to you as a licensed mental health counselor. I am dedicated to helping people rediscover a true connection to themselves so they can live life from an authentic place. This is a process of peeling back the layers to find the true nature of what lies underneath the anxiety and distress that can accompany day to day living. Depression, anxiety, self-judgment and limiting beliefs keep us from living to our full potential and experiencing life to it’s fullest extent. I use contemporary Psychodynamic theories of Interpersonal, Control Mastery and Attachment theories as a base for an integrated healing experience.
For people who are truly dedicated to finding deeper meaning in the life they are living, I offer ancestral clearing, which is a body focused approach to healing. I also include mindfulness as in essential part of my work. Given my experience, I am competent to work with a broad range of issues. With a specialty in depression and trauma, a somatic focus helps to heal body, mind and spirit. Through my work as an adjunct professor at Bastyr University, I have experience with a wholistic approach to health and healing.
It's quoted that "the hardest work you will ever do is the work you will do on yourself." I think this is true and I admire the courage and compassion it takes for one to enter into the process of growth and self discovery that is therapy. I believe in the ability for all of us to heal and change... no matter your experiences, background or predispositions. I am passionate about this work and I feel honored to be part of your process.v
