Jen Adams, MA, LMHC
Jen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing therapeutic services for adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Jen’s mission is to help clients realign and improve their mental, emotional, and physical health by choosing healthy change. With a mix of practical skills and a sense of humor, Jen helps clients by exploring current concerns while considering past difficulties and negative patterns.
Jen received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from City University of Seattle. She is specially trained in trauma-focused therapies to help clients process past and present traumas. She also uses evidence-based therapies to help clients initiate and maintain change, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy (RBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, Gestalt experiences, and Narrative Therapy. Jen believes the client has the power to change their thoughts and behaviors. Jen’s counseling techniques serve to support and guide those changes.
Jen loves to spend time with her family, friends, and her two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. She likes traveling, reading Science Fiction, writing, and spending time outdoors in her garden.
