Danielle Hyatt, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
I am excited to be a part of Mindful Therapy Group, and to continue providing mental health care to the Seattle community. I am originally from New York, born and raised. After completing a bachelor’s degree in psychology and working at a mental health hospital in New York, I decided to pursue a career in nursing at Yale School of Nursing. While in college, I was truly fascinated with the brain and its connection to the physical. This led me to advanced practice nursing in psychiatric mental health. I decided to move west after graduating from Yale, and have been residing in Seattle ever since. I have been working at Seattle Children’s Hospital in outpatient psychiatry, and previously in their autism clinic.
It is a goal of mine to spread the expertise that I have gained while working in this field to those who need it the most. Hopefully one day mental health will be considered at the front line of care, given just how significant it is to our everyday lives. In order to be physically healthy, we also need to be mentally healthy, striving for balance within. I believe that this is created by paying attention to our thoughts, and how they connect to our emotions, and actions. Over the past few years I have helped care for families during times of crisis, as well as in remission. It is a joy to be a part of one’s journey, from suffering to recovery. As a team, we can work towards whatever your recovery may be.
In my free time, you can find me biking all over the PNW, mountaineering, and hiking. I enjoy the beauty that this part of the world has to offer, and like to take advantage of all that our outdoors has to offer!
