Adam Seward, MA, LMHC
I first became interested in psychology at a young age when my parents introduced me to their counselor, Greg. I really liked him and could tell that he was helping my family so I decided that I would one day go in to practice myself. I received my BA in Psychology from Pacific Lutheran University in 2005 and my Masters in Counseling from Seattle University in 2008.
After 10 years in practice I feel fortunate to be able say I love what I do.
Depending on the situation and person, I will use s variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral, Existential, Family Systems, Educational and many others. I prefer this tailored approach because what might be a very helpful modality for one person may not be for another. One of my main objectives will be to determine what works best for you individually. Whatever approach is used, my work with you will typically call for specific shifts in behavior or ways of thinking. These shifts are intended to lead to changes in perception and subsequent personal, relational, and familial outcomes.
