Shadi Shirazi, Psy.D.
My philosophy is that “knowledge is power” and I believe that every predicament can be an opportunity to learn and grow, but most importantly, the first step is to identify the problem accurately.
Our mental and emotional functioning can determine our effectiveness in everyday life. As a Clinical Psychologist, I am passionate about helping my clients gain insight about their mental and emotional strengths and weaknesses through an objective and comprehensive evaluation. This evaluation can consist of interview/s, observation/s, consultation/s, and/or test administration. Once all the information is gathered, I will offer extensive feedback regarding the results and make recommendations to help you or your child get the treatments or services needed.
Prior to obtaining my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I earned my B.A. in Psychology, and M.S. in Counseling Psychology. I specialize in assessing for developmental and neurological disorders or delays; learning disabilities; executive functioning weaknesses; other cognitive and learning processing concerns; as well as social-emotional and personality functioning complications. Furthermore, I have extensive experience with family and individual therapy using a collaborative, eclectic, and process oriented approach.
When I become involved in helping clients, I compassionately draw from the extensive education and experience that I have accumulated over the last 18 years to pin-point the underlying problem through an evaluation that can help guide their treatment, bring them awareness, and illuminate the path best traveled in order to achieve their highest potential.
