MY APPROACH

It's easy to be overwhelmed by a problem when it feels like a giant mass in your head. By talking about it, you give it a beginning, a middle, and an end which helps you wrap your brain around it. With talk therapy, you become more aware of what is making you feel anxious, sad, angry, or frustrated and then it is easier to decide how to manage these feelings or take action to alleviate them.

Therapy is not meant only for those who have experienced a life-altering or traumatic experience. Instead, anyone and everyone can benefit from identifying changes they want to make and working through the barriers that have prevented them from making those changes alone. We are not born knowing how to cope with every unique circumstance we may encounter throughout our life but we are able to learn how to overcome obstacles. As humans, we have the capacity for perpetual growth and healing. Simply having a therapist that you can trust can allow you to explore that growth and be the best version of yourself.

I am a firm believer that YOU are the expert of your own experience. It is not my place to tell you what to do or make judgements about choices you make. My job is to guide you in finding your best path to achieve the goals that you identify.
