Donna Bergman, MA, LMHC
Clinical Experience and Education
I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Masters Degree in Psychology from Antioch University Seattle and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington.
For the past six years, I have had the incredible fortune and opportunity to travel remote areas of Alaska and Oregon to provide therapy services to underserved communities. These unique experiences have not only supported my clinical development, but have greatly impacted my personal growth and individual transformation.
My experiences, training and education have prepared me to counsel individuals dealing with a wide range of issues including grief and loss, anxiety and depression, adoption, chronic pain, relationship transitions, self-esteem and multicultural related concerns.
My practice is primarily focused on individual adults, ages 18 and over.
My approach to counseling is collaborative, client centered and supportive; anchored in evidenced based theoretical modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness and solution-outcomes focused techniques to support your goals and safely explore what may be interfering with your self-determination.
I will support your goals and aspirations; holding space for you to trust your own wisdom. I will work to amplify your successes and assist you in further developing your skills and awareness to increase your self-confidence, potential for future changes and inner peace. I work to understand your frame of reference, experiences and thoughts as a way to identify what might be driving you to think and act in ways that do not support your goals, your growth or your health.
